RKB: DEBORAH COOPER
Deborah has been a Paralegal at RKB Law Solicitors since May 2017. She manages a supervised caseload of Community Care, Mental Capacity and Immigration Matters.
Prior to working at RKB Law, Deborah worked in the Finance Department for Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, NHS Foundation Trust. She was responsible for managing over 1,000 accounts, valued at £800,000.00 and above.
Deborah also volunteers her time as a Legal Researcher for a Human Rights, non-governmental organisation, the Equal Rights Trust. Her specialty is in human rights and community care matters.
In community care matters, Deborah continues to master her ability to challenge local authorities for failing to provide support to children in need, families, vulnerable adults, disabled children and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children. Deborah has extensive experience in negotiating successful settlements for publicly funded clients seeking support from their local authority with Legal Help via the Legal Aid Agency.
Deborah has recently begun developing her skills in immigration matters, assisting on areas of removal, deportation and entry clearance on behalf of private clients.
Deborah has also provided supervised representation of advocates on behalf of clients who have been deprived of their liberty in care homes, residential placements or hospitals. In mental capacity matters, she attends hearings on behalf of our clients at the Court of Protection and in community care matters, she attends the Administrative Court at the Royal Courts of Justice in Judicial Review proceedings.

Deborah is an urban contemporary dancer and choreographer. In her spare time she is creating content. She also enjoys reading or watching thought provoking and inspirational films/series on Netflix.
